Trick or treating should only be scary in a fun way, right? Use these guidelines to keep your little monsters safe and happy!
- Pick costumes that fit well. Make sure they can see where they’re going, won’t trip on long parts of the costume and that the costumes don’t restrict their movement too much (especially for trips to the bathroom!)
- Make sure they glow! Ensure that either their costumes have visible reflective qualities or that they carry flashlights of some sort.
- Have kid-safe, lightweight accessories. Some Halloween baskets can have sharp corners, or be too heavy for children to carry after they’re stuffed full with candy. Inspect costume props too, make sure they are pliable and practical.
